Magic Bars

Bars:

Preheat oven to 350°.

Combine the crust ingredients well and press into 9x9" pan. Bake for 10-15 minutes until beginning to brown. Let cool.

Filling:

  • 1/2 cup on-plan chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup Lily's butterscotch chips (you can replace this with more chocolate if you cannot find them)
  • 1/4 cup peanuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup of sugar-free sweetened condensed milk

You can use this recipe (https://alldayidreamaboutfood.com/sugar-free-condensed-milk/) or make your own using 1/4 cup heavy cream, 2 Tbsp. butter and 1/2 cup allulose. In a saucepan, combine cream and allulose over medium heat and let slowly simmer. Reduce to half. This takes about 30 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the butter.

On top of the cooled crust, layer the chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, peanuts, coconut and pecans. (You can use any combination of these ingredients.) Pour the condensed milk evenly over the top.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and brown. Remove from the oven and cool completely before cutting and serving. Store in the refrigerator.
