Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Protein Blizzie

For the ice cream:
In a blender, mix up well:
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup THM chocolate optimized whey protein
- 1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese
- 1 cup nut milk
- 2 pinches of mineral salt
- 1 Tbsp. THM Super Sweet
- 1/2 tsp. strawberry (or cherry) extract
- 1/2 tsp. gluccie, optional
- 1-2 cups of ice
Pour into two Ninja Creami canisters. FREEZE FOR 24 HOURS.
In the meantime, make a batch of THM Handy Chocolate and after you take it off the stove, add a heaping Tablespoon of Just Gelatin. Stir well and set aside to cool and gel. (This will make more like hot fudge than chocolate sauce.)
When you’re ready to have some ice cream, pull out your Ninja Creami. Process your container using the Lite Ice Cream function. Then take the lid off, make a hole in the middle of the ice cream, add a couple of tablespoons of nut milk, put the lid back on, and use the re-spin function.
THEN add mix-ins if using and use the mix-in function. For this recipe, you can use:
- 1/4 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
- a few tablespoons of the Handy Syrup
Spoon your ice cream into a cup or bowl, decorating with more chocolate syrup and strawberries.
